We Are in Break-up Season (and that's no joke)!

David McCandless and Lee Byron gathered information from Facebook profiles and found the most prevalent times of the year for couples to breakup. Guess what? As you can see from the chart above, the number of breakups will peak in March and then will spike up again on April Fool's Day (no kidding!)

Why is this time of the year significant for breakups? It is suggested that the winter holidays (New Years, Christmas and Valentine's Day) represent ‘optimism cycles’- a time to create new patterns. By March we may find that the same problems we wrestled with still exist and hope of working through challenges is diminished.

As someone who helps people navigate through their toughest transitions, I know that breakups can be some of the most painful times to work through. Are you going through a rough breakup? If yes, I invite you to contact me. I'm happy to arrange a complimentary 15 minute phone call to help provide you with some support.
